‘Darkhoungah’ finds way to Iranian home market

‘Darkhoungah’ enters Iran’s home market of entertainment.

‘Darkhoungah’ has entered the domestic home market of entertainment in Iran this week.

Directed by Siavash Asadi and produced by Mansour Sohrabpour, ‘Darkhoungah’ has a social theme.

It narrates the story of a man named Reza who has worked for years in Japan and has earned bundles of money.

He has sent all his income to Iran wishing to go back and make a good living there in his old neighborhood.

He comes back to find out that all his money is lost and now what has remained for him is his wounded body and soul.

The film got its first screening at the 37th Fajr Film Festival where it could win three nominations, including the Best Actor for Hayaee and the Best actress for Zhaleh Sameti.

In addition to Hayaee and Sameti, Mehraveh Sharifinia, Nader Fallah, Mahmoud Jafari, Mansour Shahbazi, Afshin Sangchap, Fatemeh Mortazi, Pantea Panahiha, Ali Ostadi, and Jamshid Hashempour are among the cast.

Darkhoungah is the name of an old neighborhood in Tehran which is located in southern part of the Iranian capital.
